It's true that everyone loves a bargain, and especially in this economic climate people can't afford to be too picky but, really, is Primark all that good?

In past years Primark has hit the news for various wrong doings. Such as, the exploitation of its workers and trying to "Sex" up kids by offering padded bras and bikinis to 9 year olds. I took a little trip down there today in a hope to find myself a bargain (I am of course a student) and there were some items of clothing that I just couldn't believe they were selling!

Just take a look at these One Direction pants, being sold to young kids. I myself, find it a bit disturbing and wonder, what would be next? They also have JLS ones! Of course they resemble the image of the boy band well, having quite a light hearted feel to them, but I just ask myself WHY?

Another thing I stumbled across when I was in Primark was this male t-shirt, drawing its attention to the Royal Wedding. I found this to be a bit unbelievable really. As a country, are we not supposed to be supporting the Wedding, not making a joke out of it? Of course, many people have their own views about the Royal Wedding, but really should a high street retailer be sending out this message about our country's future history? I think not.

Photographic Brief

As I wrote my last word, a sigh of relief came over me. Yes you guessed it, I did finally finish my photographic brief. I thought I would share some of it with you, seeing as I've never shown any of my work to you before.

Fashion targets..

Having finished my photographic brief (Hooorayyyy) I have dedicated myself some blogging time!

Recently I have noticed the campaign "Fashion targets Breast cancer". The campaign is currently running in its 15th year, having raised over £11.5 million for the charity.

The campaign essentially does what it says on the tin. Various fashion brands have created collections which help to raise awareness for the cause, with proceeds going towards it.
Brands such as Topshop, River Island, M&S, Warehouse and Laura Ashley have got on board with the campaign. Below is a collection of items which help to promote and raise awareness for the cause. All items have 30% profits going towards Breast Cancer.

Making the most of it

I am currently in love with the gorgeous weather we have been experiencing. Yesterday I took a trip down to the seaside along with my family. It was a gorgeous day and made me forget about various deadlines looming. Below are a few snaps I took on the day.

However, it is of course back to reality! I am due to go back to uni tomorrow, for which I have a photographic brief to hand in, which I am about half way through, so could be worse. Can't believe I have nearly finished my first year at uni, it has gone far too quickly!
